Events and Membership Coordinator

In this position, the Events and Membership Coordinator will be focused on developing and executing strategies that help facilitate membership engagement and membership growth for each of these networks, while increasing awareness and support from members and donors.

Intern - Development Department

Our programs have provided thousands of schoolchildren with the health education tools necessary to improve their indoor and outdoor environments, manage lung health risks, and prevent related illnesses such as asthma. Breathe SoCal also provides education to children with asthma and their parents, and adults with emphysema, chronic bronchitis and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) to better understand and manage their disease.

Public Relations Associate

We are looking for an experienced and talented Public Relations Associate to help manage our media advisories, media pitches, and all mainstream media relations. You will be responsible for creating original content, position papers, newspaper columns, responding to reporters, building up our media presence and our influence. May also be required to support with writing press releases and op-eds and getting the message out to our media distribution lists.

Intern - Advocacy & Public Policy

Breathe SoCal also conducts Advocacy and Public Policy research aimed at tobacco prevention, healthy eating, and air pollution and environmental health. The organization also conducts advocacy and educational programs to increase public awareness of air pollution and promote solutions that will achieve clean air for all.

Our staff is made up of a diverse group of dedicated professionals who work in concert with our Board of Directors and a group of talented volunteers and interns to provide environmental education, lung health awareness, conduct and support research projects and senior lung health services.
